Tip:
When possible, lay out your track design and mark the vertical plane where your switch machines will be located BEFORE you install your bracing. This will make life much easier for you when it’s time to install your switch machines.
- Find the approximate vertical location of each switch. Always measure from the same side.
- Mark the front of your benchwork. I use Black for the switch and Red for the Bracing.
Side note: Yes, this is a different bench I am building. I ran into many “challenges” by using an old desk for the foundation, and removing that old desk is going t make life much easier!
