Interactive MRR Defect Detector Update
I have been working on a Railroad Defect Detector using MP3 files of individual words that can be programmatically queued into complete sentences based on random conditions triggered by a passing train.
While the Arduino Talkie Library has been popular to play with, the available word lists are short and very limited in vocabulary. And adding or synthesizing new words is almost impossible and extremely time-consuming, so I choose the MP3 route.
This video shows my demo and a working Sketch selecting specific words to play a complete sentence.
Let me know when this detector system is available. Can a different mile-post number be used? I am also interested in the speedometers. Can the trigger modules be separate from the breadboard? How far apart are they located? Is this something hidden flat at track level rather than from below? This is for HO.
I have all the parts and sketches to do everything except the voice.
I would like to install a defect detector on the three layouts ai work on.
